Character Analysis
Boo Radley!
For my character, I chose to do Boo Radley. I chose this character because he is very mysterious and hard to figure out. I think that as the book goes on, the author reveals more and more about Boo.
Boo Radley is a man that most of Maycomb County is scared of. His actual name is Authur Radley. He was troubled as a child and now he stays locked up in the Radley House. As Jem describes him: "Boo was about six-and-a-half feet tall, judging from his tracks; he dined on raw squirrels and any cats he could catch, that's why his hands were bloodstained..."(Page 13)
Every now and then, Boo would come out at night and the kids would try to see him. Many kids and adults of the town had stories of seeing Boo Radley. Jem tells Dill on page 12, "He goes out, all right, when it's pitch dark. Miss Stephanie Crawford said she woke up in the middle of the night one time and saw him looking straight through the window at her... said his head was like a skull looking at her..." Dill, jem and Scout were determined to make Boo come out. Dill wanted to the most. He would stand by the light pole and think about what he could do to make Boo come out.
As time goes on, the kids do more and more things that lead Boo to knowing that the kids are curious about him
